This is a Hamilton “Ashley” wristwatch. It has a 14K gold filled rectangular case and distinctive lugs.
This one is Circa 1948. It is noted for its slightly larger foot print than those normally used with the old Hamilton 982 movements.
The Dimensions are 35mm X 25mm.
Hamilton released the “Ashley” in 1948 and models exist until Hamilton ceased production of the 98x series of movements.
The “Ashley” has raised gold applied applied 18K hour markers and hands and a second hand in the six o’clock position. Hamilton produced many of its dials from this era with an oyster-silver color known as a Butler finish.
