Hamilton Bagley

1938 Bagley

Hamilton “Bagley” came in a 10 Karat gold filled case manufactured in 1938. Like all of the 1937-40 models, the Art Deco movement influenced the design of the case. This model came with tubular lugs. It looks similar to the Hamilton Dodson, manufactured in the same year.

This model came with the popular 987A 17 jewel 6/0 movement, which the US military chose for their  watches at the commencement of hostilities during World War II.

The case measures approximately 26mm across, excluding the crown and 35mm from lug to lug.

Note the lugs, the flat crown against the case, the shape of the crystal, size of second dial. This watch came in with 18 K applied gold numerals on a butler grey background.
