Hamilton’s “Stuart” Wristwatch

This is Hamilton’s “Stuart” model. This timepiece is seldom seen today. The measurements of the case ran 37 X 23mm not including the crown. The numerals came raised with applied 18K gold. The dial also came standard with a Silver-Oyster color also known as a Butler finish. The crystal had a raised curved design.

This Stuart was a very sturdy watch. It came standard with a 19 Jewel Hamilton 982 movement.

Today, the Stuart is a popular watch akin to the Boulton, but the case is more ornate, has a framed face and flat dial with a curved back. Hamilton initially released this watch in the mid 1940’s and then again in the 1950s as the Stuart B. This is the 1940’s model with the American made movement.
