Hamilton’s “Grover” is rare, seldom seen and very popular today. Evidently, Hamilton couldn’t make enough of them as the Company issued it three times. This is the first issue circa 1940-41 and came with a 982 19 Jewel high-end movement. Hamilton produced two additional Grover watches in the 1950’s – one with a 747 movement and another with a 752 Swiss movement. The watch is considered one of Hamilton’s all-time best designed watches.
The hands were raised 18K applied gold with a subsidiary seconds dial is located just above the 6 O’clock position. The measurements of the case are 37 X 23.5 mm not including the crown and it has no engraving. The lugs, curve back and dial frame gave the watch an elegant and distinctive look.
