This is a 24 mm Lady’s Hamilton “Round” version of a popular 1927 Hamilton wristwatch.
This watch is in very good to excellent condition. It may appear larger in the photographs than its actual size. Try to visualize a watch for a lady’s wrist. It’s small but not tiny.
It uses a jewel Swiss ETA quartz movement.
Hamilton began production of the original “Round” in the late 1920’s. It is considered one of the more popular vintage Hamilton watches from that era.
Hamilton, moved from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Biel, Switzerland in 1971. The company sold stylish contemporary watches until the 1980’s, when the retro fad told hold of the watch market.
With a shortage of antique and vintage watches available, a new fad in the Hamilton brand emerged. Around 2010, collectors entered the market for retro watches including and perhaps favoring the ladies sizes. Why? They’re more likely to appear in excellent condition and they represent “miniaturized” versions of storied Hamilton retro designs
