Hamilton produced these models under the concept of geometric design. The company didn’t change these offerings until 1927, so the title of this article should be Hamilton Wristwatches from 1924 – 1926. The design lacked originality, but they fit into the styles sold by most of their competitors. In 1927, Hamilton purchased Illinois watch company for $5 million from the heirs of the founder. That changed the whole game.

Illinois made the most innovative wristwatch styles. Hamilton emphasized the Illinois wristwatches and practically shutdown the Pocket Watch division. The consumer side of the watch industry considered Hamilton as the premiere manufacturer of highly accurate timepieces. With the acquisition of Illinois, Hamilton became the dominate watch company in both style and quality movements, but not until they rid themselves of the geometric watches.
