The Early Hamilton Wristwatch Story- 1917-1926

Square B Plain

Hamilton resisted making wristwatches for men, even though it’s major competitor, Elgin, released it’s first  ones in 1910. Hamilton considered wristwatches unmanly and only for women.

They positioned themselves in the market by saying a possible need existed for a sports and driving watch. You’ll see the first watches beginning in 1917.
