What’s a fully serviced Hamilton Watch Movement

The optimum serviced Hamilton movement has several conditions:


New Service Hamilton

Parts are generally original. For example, the watchmaker knows how to straighten any bends in the hairspring, all bends on the wheel train have been straightened. The gears are original and unworn. Typically, you’ll want a new mainspring and look for a 40 hour power run. Look for scratches on the case, especially around the bridge screws. Hamilton uses an overcoil balance, so look for any bends in the area of the pallet. Also make sure the watch is in beat.
